How much does a chocolate message cost?

A chocolate message costs $30.00 plus shipping and sales tax less any discounts active at the time you order. If the Chocolate Courier does not charge you sales tax you have an obligation to pay the tax yourself.

How much will shipping cost?

Our factory is in North Liberty, Iowa so shipping charges depend on how far the recipient is from our location but it should not exceed the following amounts:

$5.70 - IA, IL, WI

$6.40 - AR, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NE, OH, OK, SD

$8.25 - AL, CO, CT, GA, LA, MD, MS, NC, ND, NJ, NY, PA, SC, TN, VA, VT, WV, WY

$9.10 - AZ, FL, ID, MA, ME, MT, NH, NM, RI, TX, UT

$9.65 - CA, NV, OR, WA

What credit cards or debit cards do you accept?

You can pay for your order using an American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit card. Debit cards that carry an American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa logo may also be used to pay for your purchase.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

If you order via this web site and you provide an e-mail address you will be notified via e-mail that your order has been received.

When will my order be shipped?

The fastest way to have your order processed and shipped is to pay with a credit or debit card.

Chocolate Courier ships packages on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (unless the day is a holiday) to reduce the likelihood that packages may sit in shipping warehouses over weekends.

If an order is received by 1:00PM Central Time on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and you paid for your order using a credit card or debit card, your order will most likely be prepared and shipped that same day. Orders received after 1:00PM on Wednesday or on Thursday through Sunday will most likely be shipped on the following Monday (unless it is a holiday).

If you pay via Paypal eCheck, it usually takes four business days for the eCheck funds to be transferred to our account. Your order will be prepared and shipped on a similar schedule as stated above upon receipt of the eCheck funds.

If you pay for your order via a money order, your order will be prepared and shipped on a similar schedule as stated above upon receiving your money order.

How will my order be shipped and delivered?

Orders will be shipped Priority Mail via the United States Postal Services. Priority Mail packages are delivered in an average of 2-3 days to any destination in the continental US. Priority Mail also allows us to confirm delivery of your order via the USPS tracking system.

Why do you ship only in the continental United States?

We limit our shipping area to the continental United States because it is the only way we can be reasonably assured our product will be delivered in a timely manner and in a condition that will satisfy you the customer.

How do you protect your chocolates when they are shipped?

All boxes of chocolates are packaged and shipped in a styrofoam shipping container with 1.5 inch walls that protect the product physically as well as from extreme heat. During the months of May through September we will place a frozen gel pack within the styrofoam shipping container that will help to moderate extreme heat conditions.

How can I pay without a credit card or debit card?

You can pay through an established PayPal Account, via a Paypal eCheck or by mailing a money order.

When you pay via a Paypal eCheck or a money order your order is not processed until the funds are actually received by our company. For an eCheck this is usually four business days.

When you place your order via this web site you can designate that you will be paying with a money order. We will hold your order on file for up to three weeks while we wait to receive your money order. When you place your order you receive a confirmation order form. A copy of the confirmation order form must accompany your money order. Your money order and order form should be mailed to Chocolate Courier LLC, 955 – 236th Street, Suite 1, North Liberty, Iowa 52317.

Where can I get a money order?

Money orders are available for a small charge at post offices, banks and many other financial institutions.

What if I want to order several boxes of chocolates with the same message?

If you want to order several boxes of chocolates that carry the same message but are to be mailed to different addresses, please contact Chocolate Courier directly by telephone or e-mail.

Are there any nut products or nut related ingredients used in the manufacture of your chocolates?

There are no nut products or nut related ingredients used in the manufacture of our chocolate; however, the chocolates may have been manufactured with equipment that has been used in the production of foods that contain nut products or nut related ingredients.

Do you provide a money back guarantee that your chocolates will arrive in good condition?

By using a styrofoam shipping container and including a frozen gel pack during the warm weather months, we believe we have taken reasonable precautions to get your order to you in good condition. In that we can not control all the conditions related to the shipment of your order, we can not provide a money back guarantee.

What is the size of the chocolates?

Each individual chocolate is about 7/8 inch wide by 1-1/8 inch tall. Each box includes forty-five chocolates; the overall size of the box of chocolates is about 16-1/2 inches by 5 inches
